spring, easter, and passover

Spring is a time of new beginnings and represents RESURRECTION.  Flowers, trees, grass, baby lambs, cows, horses; new life everywhere reminds us that spring has arrived.

We’ve moved from winter (Scorpio) to new life (Aries).  All of life is experiencing new birth.  Jesus demonstrated that there is no death, only continuous life.  There is transition, a change in form, but never death.  We celebrate that Holy Demonstration as Easter.  Our Easter baskets represent resurrection; they hold the rabbit, symbol of fertility and prolific propagation, and eggs, which represent new birth.

Passover and Exodus represent the soul’s struggle to break free from the clutches of the ego.  We call this self-realization or making the ascension.   “Crossing the Red Sea” is a metaphor for fleeing from slavery.  The Hebrews followed Moses, in faith, and began their quest for the land of milk and honey (Israel).

Each of us at this time of Easter/Passover is given an opportunity to free ourselves from the slavery of the ego mind and to follow the path of the spirit; the path which the Master Jesus called the Path of Love.  As we eat those chocolate bunnies and colored eggs, let’s pause to reflect the message of the season:  There is no death.

Jesus said, “This gospel of the resurrection of the dead is not confined to Jew and Greek; it is the heritage of every man of every time and clime; and I Am here a demonstration of the power of man.  What I have done all men will do; and what I AM, all men shall be.”     —Aquarian Bible chapter 176

                                        EASTER

                                   By Rev. Betty Tatalajski

Namaste, the God in me, greets the God in you.  What a beautiful time of the year to celebrate the risen Christ.  It is good that a special day be set aside to celebrate this momentous event in human history.  The great spiritual being that came to earth as Jesus of Nazareth demonstrated to us his message: There Is No Death.

In John 2:19, Jesus said, “Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up.”  In John 10:34 he admonished the people, “Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye Are Gods?”  He was reminding the Jewish people of what was written in Psalm 82:6, “I have said, Ye are Gods, and all of you are children of the most high.”

Jesus came to earth as the way shower of the Piscean Age.  He followed the inner voice of Spirit, rising higher and higher in consciousness until he could truly say and demonstrate, “The Father and I are one.”  He passed every test, fulfilled all the laws (spiritual Laws) and kept all the commandments.  This great initiate of Light showed mankind the way back to the Father’s House.  He reminded us that the kingdom of God is within.

In the King James Version of the Bible there is no mention of Jesus’ training from age twelve in the temple until he appears at age thirty.  As he approached the Jordan River his cousin John the Baptist saw “the heavens open up and the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting upon him.  And lo a voice from heaven saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”  This was the anointing of Jesus by the Holy Spirit; the transcendence from Jesus of Nazareth to Jesus the Christ.

In the “Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ” by Levi is a filling-in, so to speak, of those missing years of study, meditation and preparation leading up to the anointing of the Christ.  This information is totally consistent with that given by the Ascended Masters of the Brotherhood of Light.  These teachings are received through inspiration, revelation, and channeling and in many instances personal contact with materialized Spiritual teachers.

According to the Aquarian Bible: After his death, burial and resurrection he appeared in materialized form before the Silent Brothers in the temple of Heliopolis, in Egypt, and said: “My human life was wholly given to bring my will in tune with the deific will; when this was done my earth-tasks all were done.”  “You know that all my life was one great drama for the sons of men.  I lived to show the possibilities of man.”  “What I have done all men can do, and what I AM all men shall be.”

God is Love.  We live, move and have our being in that omnipresent Love.  Jesus realized it, actualized it, demonstrated it and was anointed by that Love.  He became Christed.

Let us celebrate his demonstration of continuous life and walk in his footsteps so that we might become, as he did, a Master of Light.
